| One of the most influential literary
magazines in Korea |
Munhakdongne, or literary community, is a quarterly
publication playing a leading role in contemporary Korean literature.
It was established in 1994 by a group of young poets and critics
who shared a common interest in literary innovations. Since then,
the magazine has continued to enjoy the widest circulation among
Korean literary journals.
Each issue offers a critical guide to the present literary scene
as well as new works by leading Korean writers in various literary
genres. The publication aims to foster an intellectual environment
that is conducive to literary writing, and promotes dialogue between
writers, critics and others of literary circles. Most important
literary movements of contemporary Korean literature are expressed
in the works introduced in the magazine.
